The latest in Nikon’s entry-level SLR offerings, the new D-60 has become a very popular option for first-time SLR users wishing to upgrade from their point and shoots. Providing a full 10 megapixels and a high-resolution 2.5 inch screen for viewing, the D-60 has many of the same features as its much more expensive siblings, such as a new EXPEED processor, a 3D Color Matrix Metering II evaluates each scene for brightness, color, contrast, size and position of shadows and highlights, a dust reduction system, an advanced 3-Area AF system, image optimization options. In-Camera Image Editing and Enhanced Retouch Menu, and a very welcome 500 images per battery charge. It is sold with an 18-55mm vibration reduction lens.
